I am a Minnesota Native and have lived in the Brainerd Lakes area for over 25 years with my beautiful wife Maralee. We have been married for over 40 years, and together, we have five amazing children and five (soon to be six) wonderful grandchildren. I received a degree in Business Management from Oral Roberts University in 1982. In addition to being a local State Farm agent, I previously served in the Minnesota Senate as the Majority Leader. It was a privilege to serve the people of Minnesota in that capacity, and I felt honored to be only the 29th person to have that position since 1858. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, gardening, sports, hunting, motorcycling, boating, and the great outdoors.

Our agency is a local small business gladly serving the Brainerd Lakes area, including Baxter, Nisswa, Pequot Lakes, Crosby, Pillager, Motley, Aitkin, Crosslake, Breezy Point, Staples, and other surrounding cities. We provide onsite services in our family-friendly and pet-friendly office and have a comfortable waiting area with coffee available. Walk-ins are welcome, and we accept many forms of payments. Our experienced and dedicated team is always more than happy to help meet your insurance needs!

Hello, my name is Kari, and I am the office manager for Paul Gazelka's Agency. Born in the Brained Lakes Area and have spent most of my life right here. I have raised my three children here in the Brainerd Lakes Area and continue to love the lakes and all Northern MN has to offer. I started my career in the insurance industry over 20 years ago and have spent the last 10 years working for State Farm Agents, 8 of which were here at Paul’s office. In my spare time, you will find me enjoying life with Ed and our dog, Copper, either camping, biking, hiking, traveling or with any of my 12 grandkids--the greatest time is when you get to combine many of those into one trip!! I am very passionate about what I do and use my attention to detail to assistant you will all your insurance needs. I am licensed in Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Condo Insurance, Renters Insurance, Life Insurance, and Health Insurance as well as Recreational Vehicles Insurance including boats, jet skis, snowmobiles, campers ATV’s, UTV’s, Motorcycles.

Hi, I'm Lydia! I was born and raised in MN and graduated from Oral Roberts University with a B.S. in Psychology. When I'm not working, I love spending time outdoors with my spouse and have a variety of creative hobbies and interests. I have been working in insurance since 2022 and am licensed in property and casualty. I'm dedicated to helping people find the right products and services for them, and my highlight of working at the office is connecting with the many different people we insure!
